Become part of a community whose members work together to protect each other from crime. Strength is in unity: "One for all and all for one." WATCHING AND CARING -- NOT SNOOPING -- That's what Neighbourhood Watch is all about - looking out for each other. Neighbours uniting and acting together means dozens of eyes and ears are ready to pick up on anything happening in the neighbourhood that could cause worry and/or concern. It's about being a good neighbour and caring about your community.
To make a neighbourhood watch a success there are differnt postions needed.
- All positions are first and foremost a Neighbourhood Watch member. Members are citizens who are aware of crime problems and are willing to be the eyes and ears of their community, willing to observe and communicate problems to each other and the police. If you would like more information about being a ENW member click here or print and fill in an application form and send it in.
- Above the Members are Block Captains. The Block Captain encourages membership, observation and communication within one designated block in their community.
- Above the Block Captians is the Zone leader. Jessica Kirkwood, Communications Director, is the Area/Zone leader.
If you are interested in an information session please contact Jessica. We need at least 15 people in attendance before The ENW will come out for a presentation.
